Federico Tibone
Conductor
Italian conductor, pianist and vocal coach Federico Tibone served as Associate Conductor at Opéra de Marseille and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille from 2022 to 2025, selected for the role by Lawrence Foster. He is Associate Professor of Conducting at the Conservatoire de Lille. His work includes Così fan tutte and Madama Butterfly in Orvieto, Un ballo in maschera at the Abay National Opera in Kazakhstan, La Périchole in Paris, and productions of Paganini, Le nozze di Figaro, and the ballet Age of Content at the Opéra de Marseille. He recently conducted Il trovatore at Opéra de Québec. Tibone trained in Turin, later joining the Paris Opera Académie as a coach and pianist.
His collaborations include work with Lawrence Foster, Bertrand de Billy, Dan Ettinger, Paolo Arrivabeni, and José van Dam. His awards include Second Prize at the Premio Venezia Piano Competition and at the International Opera Conducting Competition in Orvieto. His 2025 recital album Gracias a la vida was released on Outhere Music. He is committed to musical outreach through Démos Marseille.
